Prenatal and postnatal training

Training through pregnancy and after birth

In-home coaching through pregnancy and after birth, built around the clearance your provider gives you and adjusted as your body changes from one trimester to the next.

What to expect

Getting to a gym is the hard part right now, so the coaching comes to you across Seattle and the Eastside. Sound Fitness trains inside the guidance your provider gives you, adjusts positions and loading as your body changes, and keeps the pace patient when you are returning to exercise after birth.

Sessions at your home, scheduled around naps and feeding

Training that follows the clearance and guidance of your provider

Positions and loading adjusted as pregnancy progresses

Strength work for carrying, lifting, and getting up off the floor

Session flow

Training notes and planning tools for an in-home assessment
1Check in on your stage, your provider's guidance, and how the week has gone

Every visit starts with where you are today: sleep, energy, anything new from your provider, and anything that has changed since the last session.

Coach assessing movement during a training session
2Review movement, balance, and the space and equipment at home

Your coach works from what you can do today rather than a template, using the floor space, wall, chair, or equipment already in your home.

Guided personal training session with form coaching
3Train with breathing and bracing coached as general fitness technique

Breathing and bracing are taught as technique for the exercises you are doing, not as treatment for any condition. Anything beyond general fitness coaching belongs with your provider.

Progress tracking for between-session coaching support
4Leave with simple next steps for the days between sessions

You leave knowing what to do next, what to hold off on, and what the plan is building toward as your stage changes.

Good fit if

Simple in-home training setup in a living space
1You are pregnant and want to keep training with guidance

Staying active is easier when someone else is adjusting the plan, so you are not deciding alone each week what still feels appropriate.

Beginner-friendly strength training session
2Your provider has cleared you to return to exercise after birth

Training restarts at a low level and builds from there. The first goal is consistency and confidence rather than picking up where you left off.

Mobility-focused coaching support for stiffness
3Leaving the house is the reason training keeps slipping

Between a newborn, a car seat, and a nap schedule, a trip across town rarely survives the day. Removing the drive is often the difference between training and not training.

Structured programming and accountability support
4You want a patient restart rather than a rush back

Progression follows how you feel, what your provider says, and what your week can actually support. Nothing moves forward on a fixed schedule.
